THREE MAJOR QUAKES HIT
THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS WITHIN
ONE HOUR'S TIME

The epicenter is indicated by the small red star at the top of the region of red dots. RED indicates a DEEP quake focus of >300-500 km.


Suddenly last Thursday, three major earthquakes hit the Mindanao region of the Philippine Islands.  These earthquakes occurred on July 23 and were registered at M7.3, M7.6, and M 7.4.  They all hit within an interval of 1 hour and 7 minutes.

Why this sudden burst of seismic energy occurred just where and when it did will take some time to determine.  Needless to say, however, it does support the interpretation that the Earth is becoming more seismically active these days.
