THE REINCARNATION OF EDGAR CAYCE?

Interdimensional Communication & Global Transformation

a new book by

Wynn Free with David Wilcock

(Published in 2006 by Frog, Ltd., Berkeley, CA; 418 pp., $18.95)

Introduction

For reasons unknown, the publisher of this book sent me a review copy, with no strings attached. And because both Mr. Free and Mr. Wilcock believe that David Wilcock is the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, I will confess at the outset that I decided to examine their joint story for possible inconsistencies between what I know of Edgar Cayce’s life and readings, and the accounts of same as rendered by the authors.

According to the authors’ page at the back of the book,

David Wilcock is a professional intuitive consultant who, since 1993, has intensively researched UFOlogy, ancient civilizations, consciousness science, and new paradigms of matter and energy. With the help of “those on the other side,” he has assembled an ongoing series of critically acclaimed, breakthrough scientific research works under the master title Convergence, published on his website, http://www.ascension2000.com/.

Wynn Free, Wilcock’s biographer and collaborator, is a songwriter, poet, and freelance writer who lives in the Flagstaff, Arizona area.

Now even though Mr. Wilcock lived in Virginia Beach, where I now live, I never actually laid eyes on him. Nor have I ever met or communicated in any way with Wynn Free.

With the foregoing background in mind, we turn to some of the discrepancies between what Cayce’s readings revealed about how he channeled information and what Mr. Free has written about the process.

Cayce’s “Source”

In chapter 1 of the Free and Wilcock (F&W) book one reads (p. 15) that:

When Edgar Cayce gave his readings, the voice that spoke through him identified itself as the “Source.” I theorize that Cayce’s Source was not an isolated intervention unique to Cayce. In fact, if my informed assumptions are correct, Cayce’s Source was his own Higher Self, which was part of a group soul that identified itself as Ra through both Wilcock and L/L Research.

From the Glossary at the end of the book one learns that the “group soul” is the same as the “social memory complex,” defined as “a large group of completely integrated souls.”

Thus, Free and Wilcock are saying that Cayce’s source for his readings was none other than a group soul that identified itself as Ra.

The level of scholarship displayed by F&W is severely tested here. My own studies of Cayce’s early readings, given at a time when his friends and relatives were asking sleeping Cayce about the source of his information, is quite different from F&W’s conjecture. As explained in the book, Earth’s Catastrophic Past and Future, A Scientific Analysis of Information Channeled By Edgar Cayce,(Hutton, W., and J. C. Eagle, 2004, Universal Publishers, 500 pp.), and on the Hutton Commentaries web site, Cayce was able to access around 12 sources for his readings. And in stark contrast to Free’s claim above, a search of the CD-ROM that contains 14,000-plus Cayce readings yields no instance in which Cayce identified the origin of the material in any of his readings as the “Source.”

Mr. Free's  claim that,  "the voice that spoke through him {Cayce} identified itself as the “Source,” most likely was taken from Sidney Kirkpatrick's book (2000, Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet, Riverhead Books, New York, N.Y.).  The index for Kirkpatrick's book indicates that the first occurrence of the word Source appears on page 148, where the author states, "He {Cayce} also volunteered to let the Source itself make the final decision..."  Only a few other mentions of the Source are found in Kirkpatrick's book.  One of these says, "Ketchum believed that because the Source sounded so 'human' that it was none other that Cayce's subconscious mind tapping into a vast database of information."  But at the end of this paragraph (on p. 159) Kirkpatrick writes, "As would be demonstrated on numerous occasions in the future, Cayce's higher self  may indeed 'retrieve' information ....."  This last statement may have been the basis for Free's words above,  "...if my informed assumptions are correct, Cayce’s Source was his own Higher Self."  At any rate, both Kirkpatrick and Free invented "the Source" explanation for Cayce's psychically derived information without ever reviewing the early Cayce readings that describe in considerable detail the several kinds of sources that Edgar Cayce actually contacted when channeling his readings.

Here is the result of my work on Cayce's sources, as found in Earth's Catastrophic Past and Future (p.500):

The Approximate Number and Names of Sources
Described in the Above Readings

Depending upon how one counts names of sources, some of which may duplicate each other, it seems that approximately twelve distinct sources were available to Cayce when giving a reading. While we may have missed one or more additional sources, Hutton assumes that twelve is a reasonably correct number.

Although initially he avoided ranking the possible sources as to their probable trustworthiness, Hutton eventually decided to rank them anyway because it seemed obvious that some would be more reliable than others. The difficulty is that ranking must be based largely on subjective judgments, because the readings themselves provide little explicit evidence concerning ranking. (Only reading 440-12 distinguishes between “universal” and “lower sources.”)

Just how high is the “universal consciousness” or “cosmic consciousness” (or “universal forces” or “cosmic forces”) source of information? As a source capable of predicting future events, one would think that the universal consciousness source is the highest possible. It certainly must be as high or higher than any of the other sources. Here one is taking the viewpoint that the terms “universal” and “cosmic” are interchangeable, and that the “universal consciousness”source is not distinct from the “universal forces” source.

Sources of Cayce’s readings are ranked from most reliable (“highest”) to least reliable (“lowest”), based on subjective judgments. One of the objectives here is to rank sources to evaluate their reliability for the predictions of Earth-changes and pole-shift events that they contain.

Ranked Sources of Cayce’s Psychic Readings

  1. The universal, or cosmic consciousness. (Most reliable)

  2. Messengers of truth, or messengers from the higher forces that interpret the universal forces.

  3. Archangels.

  4. A spirit entity or spirit form.

  5. An individual disincarnate force.

  6. The outside source of supply.

  7. Any of all other subconscious minds.

  8. The Akashic records, Book of Life, esoteric records, Book of Revelation, or simply “the records.”

  9. The soul.

  10. The life.

  11. The body.

  12. The self. (Least reliable)

Sources 8-12 are considered irrelevant to the matter of predicting future events, but are listed and numbered here for future reference.

Note that left out is what were mentioned as “the lower” (440-12) and “the material-forces” (4153-1) sources. It seems that these sources were never accessed by Cayce. They seem only to have been mentioned to provide contrast to the far-higher universal or cosmic sources.

If one is mistaken about Cayce not channeling information from lower and material forces, then he accessed information from no fewer than 14 distinct sources.

As for F&W’s conjecture that Cayce’s source of his psychic information was a group soul that identified itself as Ra, reading 294-151 tells a completely different story relative to the origin and use of the name Ra.

Hence there began the first preparation for what has later become that called The Great Pyramid, that was to be the presentation of that which had been gained by these peoples through the activities of Ra-Ta, who NOW was known as Ra; for with the entering in of Hermes WITH Ra - who came as one of the peoples from the mount to which these peoples had been banished - and the raising of that one who had been condemned with the priest in banishment to one that was to be without question the queen, or the advisor to all of her own peoples, there was brought the idea of the preservation of these, not only for those in the present but for the generations that were to come in the experiences and experiences throughout that period, until the changes were to come again in the earth's position that would make for, as it had in this inundation that brought about Ra-Ta's coming in the experience from the gods in the Caspian and the Caucasian mountains, that had brought this change in the peoples. Hence under the authority of Ra, and Hermes as the guide, or the actual (as would be termed in the present) constructing or construction architect with the priest or Ra giving the directions - and those of Isis (now) in the form of the advisor for the laying in of those things that would present to those peoples the ADVANCEMENT of the portion of man, or woman, to her position in the activities of the human race or human experience, these changed the position or attitude of these particular peoples as to the position that was held by woman in her relations to the developing of the conditions that either were to be national, local, or individual; for not only does this become then that upon which man depends for those advancements or advents into the material activities, but the nourishing of, the maintaining of, that to which its (the man's) ideals are to be turned in their activity when they arise at that period when expressions are to be given to the active forces in the material activities.

(294-151; July 29, 1932)

Here we see that, according to the Cayce reading above, the entity that had been Ra Ta prior to his banishment as priest, became known as Ra after a subsequent six-and-one-half-year rejuvenation and purification in the Temple Beautiful. (Reading 281-43; November 8, 1939). Thus, Wynn Free’s theorizing about Ra being a group soul does not agree with anything in Cayce’s 14,000-plus readings.

Archangel Halaliel and Earth Changes

We now jump ahead to page 153 of the F&W book. Here are the passages of relevance to the title of this section. Note that my comments are given hereafter in a new format. My comments are shown in blue letters and are also presented in indented paragraphs enclosed in curly brackets.

Ra-Ta, Cayce, and Wilcock Were All Channels

Wynn Free writes (p. 153):

Obviously Wilcock is a channel. He defines himself as such. I don't believe the word "channel" was used during the lifetime of Cayce.

{Mr. Free is in error here. A check of the CD-ROM shows that there are 3,568 occurrences of the word “channel,” in 2,369 readings-related documents on the CD. Of course, many of these occurrences have nothing to do with Cayce's psychic channeling ability and Free is referring to the use of the term channel as it would have been applied to Cayce when giving his readings. Here follows one of many examples of such psychic channeling usage, from Cayce reading 288-29.

EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [288], also the information as has been given as respecting the appearance or incarnations into the earthly experience.

Here we have information that will be of interest to all who study psychic experiences in the material plane, as to how such experiences of others may be given through an individual such as the source from which this information as may be given emanates. There must be in the physical or material world a channel through which psychic or spiritual forces may manifest. It must become concrete, or definite, with some channel, some manner, of manifestation. The anatomical condition of the human body lends itself to such an experience, then, through some portion of the physical organism of a body. That as is known in the human organism, or animal, or vegetable, or mineral even, as the germ of which propagation is made, must be, and is, the source from which there must be that contact that is made for such manifestation.

In this particular body [Edgar Cayce] through which this, then, at present is emanating, the gland with its thread known as the pineal gland is the channel along which same then operates, and with the subjugation of the consciousness - physical consciousness - there arises, as it were, a cell from the creative forces within the body to the entrance of the conscious mind, or brain, operating along, or traveling along, that of the thread or cord as when severed separates the physical, the soul, or the spiritual body. This uses, then, the senses of the body in an introspective manner, and they are not apparent in functioning in a physical normal manner as when awake. All faculties of the body become more alert. As to the loss of consciousness, how great is the ability of the development of the psychic sources to completely cut off consciousness from the physical or anatomical brain and still retain - in the shell - those abilities of functioning through that such an entity may have experienced in its passage through physical experience. Hence, as this immediate channel {meaning Edgar Cayce}, having incarnated in many experiences, stays within that environ of its experience throughout the incarnations [Vibratory Influences?] into a physical experience. Hence, while others may act in the same manner, some variations may appear as to the RESPONDING actions of THEIR incantations INTO the same or a similar experience. Hence variations, yet this is worthy of being studied, would one understand. Hence there may be much given as respecting this activity of this PARTICULAR entity and ITS associations throughout the eons of time, as called, or throughout the varied and divers EXPERIENCES OF the entity in the earth's experiences, and its ability to attune itself to either material, mental, or spiritual forces of others, or as to what it has the more often chosen as its standard of the measurements gives that expression to the information given. (288-29)}

We've already hypothesized that Cayce was, in fact, channeling Ra as his own Higher Self but couldn't be aware of it because of his fundamentalist Christianity. His information was usually revealed as coming from his "Source."

{His information was never revealed as coming from his “Source;” see the previous section above}

But there were specific instances where Cayce did identify sources other than his normal Source. At various times, Cayce acknowledged that other beings were present, including Confucius, during the course of a reading.

Interestingly enough, Cayce's much-quoted "Earth changes" prophecy was not given by Cayce's Source but rather by an entity that identified itself as Halaliel. I include an excerpt from that reading below where the events referred to were supposed to transpire around 1998:

The earth will be broken up in the western portion of America. The greater portion of Japan must go into the sea. The upper portion of Europe will be changed as in the twinkling of an eye.... I, Halaliel, have spoken. [Cayce reading 3976-15]

{Mr. Free’s statement about events described in 3976-15 that ”were supposed to have occurred around 1998” is his interpretation only. The actual quote from the reading is: “And these will begin in those periods in ’58 to ’98, when His light will be seen again in the clouds.”}

In studying the Cayce readings, I learned that the Cayce study groups as well as Cayce's scribe, Gladys Davis, had doubt and concern as to whether they could trust Halaliel, and eventually decided not to allow him to come through.

{Well that is not quite the way that archangel Halaliel was “rejected.”The followingsentences from Earth’s Catastrophic Past and Future (p. 517) are closer to the truth:

We continue now with a further consideration of the level of the Halaliel channel. Archangel Halaliel was first mentioned to have been a channel for a Cayce reading on October 15, 1933 (262-56). His name next appeared on October 24, 1933 (5756-10 and -11), as one of the “forces” composed of Lamech, Confucius, Tamah, Halaliel, Hebe, Ra, Ra-Ta, and John. All of these “forces” were said to be available to answer a complicated question about how “the various matters” [of the Universe] came into existence.

Then, on January 7, 1934, members of Study Group No. 1 asked just who Halaliel was.

Q) Who is Halaliel, the one who gave us a message on Oct. 15th?

A) One in and with whose courts Ariel fought when there was the rebellion in heaven. Now, where is heaven? Where is Ariel, and who was he? A companion of Lucifer or Satan, and one that made for the disputing of the influences in the experiences of Adam in the Garden.

262-57; January 7, 1934

On January 8, 1934, we find, for a woman seeking mental and spiritual advice, the following question and answer. This reading was conducted by Gertrude Cayce, said to be a most acceptable conductor due to her negative polarity.

Q) How high is this source that this information is being given from?

A) From the universal forces, and as emanated through the teacher that gives same ‑ as one that has been given ‑ Halaliel.

443-3; January 8, 1934

Then, on January 19, 1934, we come to reading 3976-15, when Halaliel gave the entire reading. We believe it is correct to assume that, once again, as happened in reading 443-3 some eleven days earlier, Halaliel transmitted the information in 3976-15 from the source referred to as “the universal forces.” These universal forces may or may not be the same as the universal consciousness but, as interpreted by Halaliel, must be assumed to be amongst the highest of those levels available to humankind for information concerning future events.

At the time that Cayce gave reading 3976-15, Study Group No. 1 had not yet decided to reject Halaliel’s offer of help. Thus, it would seem that Halaliel was a “clear and acceptable channel” to Edgar Cayce’s conscious mind and to Hugh Lynn Cayce’s mind as conductor of the reading, at least at this point in time. Halaliel’s services as a guide and teacher were not even offered to the group until September 9, 1934 (262-71). This was about nine months after reading 3976-15 was given.

In Hugh Lynn Cayce’s 1975 memo [see R3 of 262-56], he says, “Over a period of several readings … and after considerable discussion at the study group meetings a large proportion of Group #1 felt that the purposes and guidance for the group’s activities should continue to be focused toward the level of the Christ Consciousness and that the offer of clarification and direction [from Halaliel] should not be accepted.” This group “rejection” occurred well after January 19, 1934, the date of 3976-15, although Hutton cannot find the precise rejection date. Thus it is highly probable that when Halaliel announced, halfway through 3976-15, that “I Halaliel, have spoken,” the announcement would not have adversely affected Hugh Lynn Cayce’s conduct of the remainder of the reading.}

In A Seer Out of Season, Harmon Bro addressed this subject as follows:

After breaking into his readings with messages several times, a source which called itself Halaliel, who proclaimed that it never had been incarnated but could bring Cayce much-needed wisdom, asked them to place the reading process under his guidance. The event occurred during study group meetings and the group went through much soul searching and division before the majority won out who felt the only attunement Cayce should ever seek directly was the Christ.

Ra, in a Wilcock reading, identified Halaliel as an entity from the negative realms and even referred to the Cayce reading numbers in making his point.

Ra commented: Cayce was not immune to negative readings, as such. And thus, the entity Halaliel did indeed contact him, and gave prophecies of a more vitriolic nature. Messages of doom are not necessarily intended to inspire hope, but rather fear. This fear, as a restrictive complex originating in what you would term as the past, did indeed hang over Cayce's head as it later did in David's own. Said Cayce Readings also predicted a major earth movement in 1936. This also did not come to pass, as anyone can see.

There is an important distinction that can be made between the messages from the positive contact, such as 1602-3 question 8,as opposed to the negative information such as that found in 3976-15.  It is important to remember that any of the entities upon your plane who would choose to channel do indeed open up the requirement of the invitation of a negative greeting, if their own actions invite such a greeting. Both Cayce and David in the past have been depolarized by their own freewill decisions to maintain certain attitudes in their day-to-day existence, evoking emotions of fear and worry. . . . If you look closely at reading 1602-3, it says very, very clearly that the events in 1998 would be gradual and not cataclysmic. Also, if you look to the reading which speaks of Japan going beneath the sea and of the inundation of California and the like, you see at the end of the reading, `I Halaliel have spoken.'

We have covered this ground previously with Cayce's workings, as he was eventually able to realize through our guidance that Halaliel was sort of a trickster entity, designed to depolarize the contact somewhat. - Ra/Wilcock, July 29, 1999

Those who are still living in fear of the Cayce Earth-change prophecies can rest easy, at least for the moment. In one reading seldom focused upon by pre-1998 Cayce doomsday scholars, Cayce clearly stated that Earth changes would be gradual and not cataclysmic, from roughly 1998 onward. [Cayce reading 1602-3]

{Well how wonderful that the F&W team has contacted Ra for us and gotten such a positive message about Halaliel “the trickster.” Please excuse my sarcasm, but let’s set the record straight.

First of all, Halaliel is not “an entity from the negative realms,” and there are no readings to support this conjecture. (No wonder Mr. Free avoids citing any, even though he implies that they exist.) On the contrary, archangel Halaliel is referred to in certain readings in a complimentary way. Here are some examples:

(Q) How high is this source that this information is being given from?

(A) From the universal forces, and as emanated through the teacher that gives same - as one that has been given - Halaliel.

(443-3)

In a reading for Eileen Garrett, the highly respected 20th century trance medium, we find this:

(Q) If Edgar Cayce goes into trance without any control, could he not in a waking state get the inspiration direct? (A) Not until there has been a more perfect cleansing of the carnal influences in the experiences of the soul, as has been indicated. With the regeneration that should come into the experience of the entity, this then may be the manner, the channel, the way through which much of constructive forces may be given.

(Q) What entity is giving this information now?

(A) Being directed, as has been indicated, from the records through Halaliel.

(507-1; February 3, 1934)

(Q) To what extent are the Masters of the Great White Brotherhood directing the activities of Edgar Cayce? Who are the Masters directly in charge?

(A) MESSENGERS from the higher forces that may manifest from the Throne of grace itself.

(Q) Who are the Masters directly in charge? Is Saint Germain - [Comte de (c. 1710 c. 1780)?] –

(A) (interrupting) Those that are directed by the Lord of lords, the King of kings, Him that came that ye might be one with the Father.

(Q) Is Saint Germain among them? Who is Halaliel?

(A) These are all but messengers of the Most High. Halaliel is the one who from the beginning has been a leader of the heavenly host, who has defied Ariel, who has made the ways that have been heavy - but as the means for the UNDERSTANDING. [Isaiah 29th chapter?]

(Q) Is Saint-Germain among them? [GD's note: I understand the Ballard I AM movement was based on Saint-Germain.]

(A) When needed.

(Q) Please give us Thine Identity?

(A) He that seeks that has not gained control seeks damnation to his own soul! Control thine inner self that YE may KNOW the true life and light! for he that would name the Name must have become perfect in himself!

(Q) If Mr. Cayce is a member and a messenger of the Great White Brotherhood, how do the Masters wish him to proceed and should not his activities henceforth be presented as Their Work?

(A) As the work of the MASTER of masters, that may be presented when in those lines, those accords necessary through the White Brotherhood. This - this - THIS, my friends, even but LIMITS; while in Him is the Whole.

(254-83; February 14, 1935)}

Now as for Mr. Free’s assertion that “Cayce clearly stated that Earth changes would be gradual and not cataclysmic, from roughly 1998 onward. [Cayce reading 1602-3],” readers of this review may be aware that I have extensively treated this subject in various publications since 1996. In my most recent, print-published examination of this claim, in chapter 11 of Earth’s Catastrophic Past and Future, I wrote:

We are often told that the Cayce readings predicted only gradual Earth changes. Here are three examples. The first is from a video, the second from an article in a serial publication, and the third from a book:

Cayce was asked the question, “Will the changes be catastrophic?” In three instances he said, “No, they will be gradual.”

The Edgar Cayce readings which precipitated [the] end-of-the-millennium “Earth watch”’ are ambiguous ... [some] suggesting that gradual changes are likely during this period.

The [Earth] changes will be gradual rather than catastrophic.

Are these statements correct? Will the changes be gradual, catastrophic, or even cataclysmic?

As mentioned in Coming Earth Changes, a geological catastrophe is “a violent and sudden change in a feature of the Earth,” while a cataclysmis “a momentous and violent event marked by overwhelming upheaval and demolition.” A cataclysm dramatically exceeds a catastrophe. To most geologists, use of the term cataclysm implies severe worldwide effects. While both terms generally connote rapid changes, rapidity is not required in either case.

The largest earthquake swarm ever recorded in the Western Hemisphere qualifies as a catastrophe because so much of the Mississippi River valley was altered in the area near New Madrid, Missouri. The valley’s features were altered during three great earthquakes in December 1811, January 1812, and February 1812. However, this catastrophe was spatially limited, and does not qualify as a cataclysm.

An example of a cataclysm is the worldwide impact on climate and life produced by the huge comet or meteorite that slammed into Earth at the end of the geologic Cretaceous period 65 million years ago. It is believed to have caused the demise of the dinosaurs, although some evidence has recently emerged indicating that some dinosaurs lasted for a short while thereafter. Earth scientists have documented at least four times during the last 600 million years when cataclysms knocked life for a loop. The most severe of these killed 95 percent of all marine species. A pole shift might qualify as a cataclysm because it would have severe worldwide effects. It would most certainly be composed of large numbers of catastrophes.

First and foremost, we need to state that there aren’t any readings in which Cayce was asked directly if the Earth changes would generally be catastrophic.

Second, Cayce was asked in reading 1602-3 (September 22, 1939) if the rising of Atlantis would “cause a sudden convulsion.” The answer was, “This [rising of Atlantis] is a gradual, not a cataclysmic activity in the experience of the Earth in this period.” And in reading 311-10 (November 19, 1932), Cayce was asked, “Are the physical changes in Alabama predicted for 1936-38 to be gradual or sudden changes?” The answer was, “Gradual.”

These are the only two readings that say anything about gradual Earth changes. And they are specific to 1) the rising of Atlantis and 2) the sinking of portions of Alabama.

Another reading fragment that Mr. Free cites as a failed Earth change prophecy is not one of Halaliel’s, but is from the unknown source that gave information for reading 270-3, of February 13, 1933.}

Here again is what Free said on page 154 of his book with Wilcock.

Now it just might be that Mr. Wilcock had the fear of Halaliel’s prediction about the greater portion of Japan going into the sea because at that time in his life he was living with a Japanese woman. And from my work on situations that could “waver” the truth of Cayce’s readings, it is clear that strong emotions like those engendered by personal concerns for others, or disputes with others, can definitely “waver” the results of the channeling process. Note in this regard that on page 232 of the F&W book Ra, Free writes:

You will notice upon a study of David’s materials [Ra is addressing the visitors who will read this on Wilcock’s website] that we did not allow him to have this contact until he did two important things. Number one was that he broke a three-month stretch of unemployment by finally agreeing to take a job, and number two was that he broke the even longer stretch of clinging to a dysfunctional relationship with Yumi that had been far outmoded for his present circumstances.

Here is the result of my research on factors that could have affected the veracity of information transmitted by Cayce while giving a reading.  (See Earth's Catastrophic Past and Future, p. 510.).

Ten Criteria for Evaluating Readings
for Their Veracity and Predictive Capability

When trying to determine the veracity of a reading, it is useful to consider the following ten criteria. Not all will be useful in every case, by any means. But an attempt should be made to use each criterion in determining a reading’s truthfulness and reliability, and therefore its predictive capability. The same should hold for each self-consistent fragment of a reading, when the reading itself is revealed to have more than one source.

  1. The reliability of the source contacted.

  2. The physical, mental, and spiritual condition of Cayce when giving the reading.

  3. The degree of accord of mental attitudes of those around Cayce with respect to the type, class, or character of information sought.

  4. The suitability of the conductor of the reading to balance Cayce’s polarity, so as to minimize the “shading” of information received.

  5. The ability of requestors of information to understand the level of the information sought.

  6. The sincerity of purpose or desire of the requesters of the reading.

  7. The degree to which Cayce was “bothered” during a reading as a result of irrelevant questions, or due to other actions of those present during the session.

  8. The presence of dissension, antagonism, lack of harmony, or greed in requester(s) of the reading.

  9. The degree to which the requester(s) could understand information from the level of the source sought.

  10. The presence of any questions in the minds of the requester(s), the conductor, or the recorder during a reading.

In his raising of the subject of another reading that “predicted a major Earth movement in 1936,” one that “did not come to pass, as anyone can see,” Mr. Free fails to mention Cayce reading 5748-6 of July 1932:

(Q) What will be the type and extent of the upheaval in '36?

(A) The wars, the upheavals in the interior of the earth, and the shifting of same by the differentiation in the axis as respecting the positions from the Polaris center.

The upheaval in 1936 may have been responsible for the recently discovered very slight tilt of the axis of Earth’s independently spinning inner core. People at the Earth’s surface would not have been able to observe an upheaval in the interior of the Earth, nor any tilting of the core’s axis if that event had occurred in 1936.

I think that Free and to some extent Wilcock have taken the positions that they have relative to archangel Halaliel because they have simply not done due diligence in researching Halaleil’s place and role in the angelic hierarchy, as related in Cayce’s readings. They have, in Wilcock’s cavalier relegation of Halaliel to the role of a “trickster” from the lower realms merely shown – at the least -- their ignorance of the several Cayce readings that tell a much different story. F&W have no explanation for the disparity in understanding presented between Wilcock’s assertion about Halaliel and what the Cayce readings say about the entity. An explanation of this disparity is required if F&W are ever going to get the converts that they would like to the Ra source that they have hypothesized.

And while Free and Wilcock are attempting to tone down their smear of archangel Halaliel, they might try to explain away that entity's comprehensive understanding of Earth.  Halaliel predictions deal with both pole shift and Earth changes, and  he foresaw "upheavals in the arctic and the antarctic as causing eruptions of torrid-area volcanoes, a prediction that we have verified for the major Denali, Alaska earthquake that was followed almost instantaneously by eruption of volcanoes in Ecuador.  And as for other examples of the predictive capability found in the archangel's reading (3976-15),  note that Halaliel predicted Hitler's rise and fall that occurred over an 11 year period after 3976-15 was given through Cayce.  Halaliel also predicted "the falling way in India of much of the material suffering" there;  the 1999 volcanic upheavals on the Gakkel ridge in the Arctic Ocean; and the historically-unprecedented March 1998, M8.2 earthquake off Antarctica.

This is hardly a record of predictions of a trickster.
