Will Earth Changes Destroy Storage
Sites For America's Nuclear Bombs
And Bomb-Production Wastes?

Locations and amounts of spent nuclear fuel currently in storage in America.

To sophisticated people today, the speculative question of this article's title is absurd. But people like us, who are deeply concerned about the dangers of nuclear bombs and nuclear wastes, might be moved to pray for deliverance from such horrible threats. "Those who have forgotten God must right about face," says a Cayce reading. Thus, we can be excused from looking at Earth changes in a new way, as in this article.

If Earth's poles were suddenly to shift and the Earth changes of Cayce's readings were to begin in earnest, would we not be relieved if the Earth itself enfolded the nuclear bombs and nuclear waste sites whose presence we fear and loath? Well then, let's speculate with a clear consciousness, beginning with the map above. What does it portray?

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) produced spent nuclear fuel (SNF) for many years for national defense and other programmatic missions. Historically, SNF was managed by reprocessing it, whereby material such as uranium or plutonium was chemically separated from the wastes. The Hanford, Washington, Site, Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, the Oak Ridge Reservation, and the Savannah River Site were the main sites involved in reprocessing SNF for nuclear bomb production. DOE used dedicated nuclear reactors for this purpose.

As the need for uranium and plutonium for nuclear bombs decreased, it became necessary to store SNF for extended lengths of time. Therefore, in 1992, the DOE discontinued the reprocessing of SNF. This decision left a significant amount of SNF in storage at several DOE sites, especially those belonging to the big-budget "weapons laboratories."

The map above illustrates the most significant quantities of SNF remaining at each major bomb-production site. Note how the three western sites are located in the area slated by archangel Halaliel to be "broken-up" (3976-15). And note that one of the two sites in the eastern part of America, Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, is located next to the highest zone of eastern seismicity -- the ETSZ -- or Eastern Tennessee Seismic Zone. (The New Madrid, Missouri, seismic zone is left out of this description.) Finally, the Savannah River Site is located in an area that was predicted, in 1152-11, to be among the first areas of the crust to sink when Earth changes begin.

Portions of the now east coast of New York, or New York City itself, will in the main disappear. This will be another generation, though, here; while the southern portions of Carolina, Georgia -- these will disappear. This will be much sooner.

(1152-11; August 13, 1941)

Are these locations of nuclear-waste storage sites in Earth-changes-prone areas all simply uncanny coincidences? Or will the forthcoming destructive Earth changes -- those which could destroy these nuclear waste sites -- be referred to after they happen as mentioned in reading 3976-26. This reading predicted that three dominant explanations would be advanced by people after the changes occurred.

Are these locations of nuclear-waste storage sites in Earth-changes-prone areas all simply uncanny coincidences? If not, how will the forthcoming destructive Earth changes -- those which could destroy these nuclear waste sites -- be referred to after they take place? Reading 3976-26 predicted that three main explanations would be advanced by people after the changes occurred.

Some will say that the changes were due to "the natural consequence of good judgments." Others will say that they represent "Nature taking a hand." And a third group will say that the changes were "the result of divine intervention."

Now turn to the locations of America's nuclear bombs. Where do we find them today? The article below provides detailed information, and the map shows how the various locations relate to regions of America where the Earth changes are predicted to occur in Cayce's readings.

Earth changes predicted for the contiguous United States and southernmost Canada, as interpreted by geologist William Hutton from the Edgar Cayce psychic readings.

Locations of storage sites for nuclear weapons and for spent nuclear fuel are given in red labels that can be traced to the text. Note that all boundary lines between colors are approximate. The Virginia/North Carolina safety land area, shown in light green between the dashed and the solid boundaries is inferred from two Cayce readings that suggest that this region will be safe for habitation. The letters SU mean submergence, while letters ST mean strong seismotectonic effects.

Note that we have indicated in red on the map below where the various military facilities are located that are used to store the nuclear bombs, and where the nuclear waste storage areas are as well. The SNF storage sites are labeled HAN for the Hanford, Washington site, IDA for the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, FSV for Ft. St. Vrain at Platteville, Colorado, ORNL for Oak Ridge National Laboratory in eastern Tennessee, and SRS for the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. Metaphysically speaking, we can consider the words of Rodney Collin when considering just why stores of radioactive materials collected together by humankind are anathema to maintaining a balanced Earth. Collin, in discussing the esoteric aspects of the periodic table of the elements, says the following.

"We may suppose...that the true home of the unnatural radioactive elements {like those produced for making nuclear bombs} of period 7 is in the inert core of Earth." (Collin, R., 1954, The theory of celestial influence: Man, the Universe, and cosmic mystery: Vincent Stuart, London.)

According to Collin, man's activities in his gathering together of radioactive elements on the Earth's surface, and his creation of transuranic elements for his own destructive purposes, represent a violation of Nature's design. Indeed, excess plutonium, the chief man-made explosive ingredient in nuclear weapons, has been piling up worldwide until now there are around 1,500 metric tons at scattered points over the face of the Earth. And to this we can add the global distribution of thousands of more tons of legal and illegal uranium-235 and -238. To those attuned to the cosmology of Rodney Collin, Nature herself may rebel at such an imbalance, because such radioactive materials belong to deeper realms of the Earth, and because man's creation of the infernal matter of nuclear bombs courts natural disaster. Locations of Nuclear Bomb Storage Sites

In an article in the November/December, 2006, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, entitled "Where The Bombs Are, 2006," R. Norris and Hans Kristensen write as follows.

The nuclear weapons network shrank during the past decade, with the Pentagon removing nuclear weapons from three states (California, Virginia, and South Dakota) and the size of the stockpile decreasing from about 12,500 warheads to nearly 10,000.

During the Cuban missile crisis Hutton was working in Virginia, not far from the Naval Weapons Station on the York River. We knew something big was going to happen when we could see cruisers coming up river to pick up their allotments of (now removed) nuclear weapons. Our work force had a few meetings to discuss how to prepare our homes for a possible nuclear strike by the USSR. These were scary times that saw many religious folks doing a lot of praying. It is comforting to know that there are no more nukes in the Virginia "safety land." (See the green pattern in our map above.)

....Approximately 62 percent of the current stockpile belongs to the air force and is stored at seven bases in the United States and eight bases in six European countries; the navy stores its weapons at two submarine bases, one on each coast. None of the other services possesses nuclear weapons. (See the locations of the nuclear-bomb storage sites in the U.S., as indicated by us with red initials on the map segments below.)

The ballistic missile submarine base at Bangor, Washington (BW), contains nearly 24 percent of the entire stockpile, or some 2,364 warheads, the largest contingent. The Bangor installation is home to a majority (nine) of the navy's nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines and a large number of surplus W76 warheads that will eventually be retired and disassembled. Its counterpart on the Atlantic coast, Kings Bay (KB) Submarine Base in Georgia, is the third-largest contingent, with some 1,364 warheads. Each base stores approximately 150 nuclear sea-launched cruise missiles.

Minot Air Force Base (AFB) (MAFB) in North Dakota, with more than 800 bombs and cruise missiles for its B-52 bombers and more than 400 warheads for its Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile wing, has the largest number of active air force weapons. The other B-52 wing at Barksdale AFB (BAFB) in Louisiana has more than 900 warheads, and Whiteman AFB (WAFB) in Missouri has more than 130 bombs for its B-2 bombers.

The large underground facility at Kirtland AFB (KAFB) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, stores more than 1,900 warheads that are either part of the inactive/reserve stockpile or awaiting shipment across Interstate 40 to the Pantex Plant (PP) outside of Amarillo, Texas, for dismantlement. The 970-acre facility at Nellis AFB (NAFB), Nevada, northeast of Las Vegas, performs a similar function, storing approximately 900 warheads in 75 igloos--"one of the largest stockpiles in the free world," according to the air force.

The Minot, North Dakota, AFB is clearly a nuclear-bomb storage site that does not fit into the model being advanced here. The Minot location is not in an area subjected to significant past seismotectonic stresses, nor would they be expected there in the future. Barksdale AFB (BAFB) in Louisiana and Whiteman AFB (WAFB) in Missouri also may not fit too well with the Earth-changes destruction model, but each is potentially problematical because of a lack of fault and historical earthquake data.

Relevant Cayce Readings on Earth Changes Being
"The Natural Consequence of Good Judgments"

Ye say that these {areas where wars would be fought post 1941} are of the sea; yes, - for there shall the breaking up be, until there are those in every land that shall say that this or that shows the hand of divine interference, or that it is nature taking a hand, or that it is the natural consequence of good judgments.

But in all of these, let each declare Whom ye will serve: a nation, a man, a state, or thy God?

For to Him ye must look for comfort that ye know that comes. All that is of a temporal nature, this - too must pass away; yet there remains the comfort for those who declare themselves, "Let others do as they may, but as for me, I will serve the living God."

In the period, too, there will be the breaking of agreements, the declaring of stands by groups will be known, and bring - to some - consternation.

But FEAR NOT ye that influence that may destroy the body.

Rather give praise and glory to Him who may SAVE BOTH body AND soul to everlasting joy.

Let thy prayer then be:

LORD, HERE AM I! USE ME IN THE WAY, IN THE MANNER THOU SEEST FIT; THAT I MAY EVER BE THAT THOU HAST PURPOSED FOR ME TO BE - A LIGHT SHINING AS IN DARKNESS TO THOSE WHO HAVE LOST HOPE, FROM ONE CAUSE OR ANOTHER.

(3976-26, April 28, 1941)

Each nation, each people have builded - by the very spirit of the peoples themselves - a purposeful position in the skein, the affairs not only of the Earth but of the Universe!

And the peoples of France, then, have builded a dependence and an independence that makes for the enjoying of the beautiful, a reverence for the sacredness of body, as well as the Creative Forces within the experiences of all.

Just so is there the result in England. Just so is there the conglomerate force in America. Just so are there the domination forces in Japan, China. Just so in Russia is there the new birth, out of which will come a new understanding. Italy - selling itself for a mess of pottage. Germany - a smear upon its forces for its dominance over its brother; a leech upon the universe for its OWN sustenance!

(1554-3; March 25, 1938)

What has the above got to do with Earth changes being "the natural consequence of good judgments"? Only this. The concept of national "chief features" may enter into our formulation of moralistic reasons for Earth changes that come to pass. Clearly, we're conjecturing here that most westernized people will employ a moralistically- based thinking pattern to explain the first of the forthcoming Earth changes

Moralistic Reasons For Hypothetical Earth Changes In America

Now let's look at hypothetical examples of why, metaphysically speaking, Earth changes could occur in the near future at specific places in the U.S. To facilitate our search, we'll look for morally despicable human activities, or tendencies, in places where the readings have already identified clear potentials for significant Earth changes. A dangerous morality-game, you say? You've no right to judge others, you say? I reply that you're right for one-person-on-another judgments, but here we're going to be dealing with moral judgments pronounced on groups involved in sinful activities. And, in listening to your righteous complaints against this approach, know that we are aware that:

We live in times when it is rude
To have a moral certitude.

-Richard F. Barrett

Start with the comment in reading 1554-3 that there is "the conglomerate force in America." Former president Dwight Eisenhower once warned about the dangers of the military-industrial complex (read "conglomerate").

Realize that there can be good conglomerates, like The American Red Cross, and there can be bad conglomerates, such as expressed sometimes by the U. S. government-military-industrial complex. An example of the latter is disclosed in a report by the Nuclear Weapons Cost Study Project Committee, published in the November, 1995, issue of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

"Since the government first began work on the atomic bomb in 1940, the U.S. nuclear arsenal has cost about $4 trillion in 1995 dollars - or approximately three times more, in 1995 dollars, than was spent on procurement for all of World War II.....The constitutional systems of checks and balances was rarely applied to the nuclear weapons program. A cloistered bureaucracy, largely unaccountable to Congress, managed the program, and Congress frequently neglected its oversight function, allowing decades of wasteful spending. Production took precedence over health and safety, leading to environmental degradation and the endangerment of nuclear weapons personnel and the civilian population. Pervasive and often unnecessary secrecy drove up costs, prevented the American people (and sometimes Congress) from knowing the full extent of nuclear weapons programs, and helped undermine the people's trust in government."

If there are any errors in this $4 trillion accounting estimate, the largest would only increase the true cost of this program. That accounting error is the failure to count the full "opportunity cost" of resources committed decades ago. Investing a billion dollars diverted to nuclear weapons in 1970 would have doubled by 1995 if it had been invested in assets with a real economic return of 3 percent. But even worse, this type of accounting overlooks the diversion of a talent pool of excellent scientists and engineers. This pool was diverted from constructive activities to the development of enormously destructive weapons, far more than would be needed for defense, even if such weapons could be construed as defensive. This is the program that burdened America with over 40 test-validated warhead designs, 70,000 nuclear warheads, 67,000 missiles, 4,000 bombers, and 59 strategic missile submarines. To achieve this colossal power to destroy required 1,041 test explosions.

Some of the nuclear weapons program was planned and administered in federal departments in and around Washington, D. C. The bulk of weapons design and testing, however, was promoted and carried out by the U. S. Department of Energy's three weapons laboratories: Sandia National Laboratories, in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Los Alamos National Laboratory near Santa Fe, New Mexico; and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California. The nuclear weapons production complex consists of 19 sites occupying more than 3,900 square miles. Historically, the complex involved several hundred facilities. In 1995, the complex included 14 production reactors (in Washington and South Carolina), eight separation and reprocessing plants, and 239 underground storage tanks for high-level radioactive waste (in Washington, Idaho, and South Carolina.) Plutonium machining was done in Livermore and in 1995 fourteen tons of machined plutonium for nuclear weapons were in storage at Rocky Flats, 16 miles from downtown Denver, Colorado.

We have already covered the potential for Earth changes in the western states where the readings said the Earth would be "broken up." The bulk of America's nuclear weapons program facilities reside there. The Savannah River Plant is located in (or near) the part of southern South Carolina due for "disappearance" (by subsidence, no doubt), according to reading 1152-11. Oak Ridge National Laboratory, founded in 1943 to construct an atom bomb, is located close to the active Eastern Tennessee Seismic Zone.

The most egregious example of financial waste in any of the weapons laboratories can be found at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In addition to its share of the enormous amount of funds spent wastefully on nuclear weapons development and testing, Livermore squandered the bulk of the funds designated for the missile shield program, the Strategic Defense Initiative (S.D. I., or "Star Wars"). "Billions went into implausible research projects at a single well-connected office at....[Livermore]," according to commentator A. M. Codevilla. "One [such project], the 'X-ray laser,' promised to direct the energy of hydrogen bombs thousands of miles with great precision. Another promised to generate huge 'free electron' laser beams and transmit them through the atmosphere without significant loss. Livermore also promised 'smart rocks' and 'brilliant pebbles,' little rockets that would put themselves in the way of incoming missiles." These activities certainly sound like reincarnated Atlanteans from Poseidia have been at work here in America.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory sits just east of the Calaveras and Hayward faults in California. The Hayward fault is considered to be "the most likely source of one or more major earthquakes in the San Francisco Bay area in the next few decades." And if the Cayce Earth change-readings are correct, San Francisco [and related Bay-area cities] will be destroyed soon, near the beginning of the period of global Earth changes.

Could the destruction of Livermore and environs be considered to be a "natural consequence of good judgments"? One might reason so, knowing what is now known about the waste of America's national treasure there, and the out-of-all-proportion diversion of scientific and engineering talent to destructive weapons development at Livermore. One's reasoning here would depend on one's governing understanding or philosophy.

Our above conjectures raise many questions. One concerns the role that individual responsibility plays in the following moral assertion: Here at the end of the Age, any large group that has conceived of, or is implementing morally reprehensible actions can be subjected to an Earth-change-type of judgment. But isn't it acceptable to join together with others to help the nation defend itself? The readings would say "yes," if the projects are truly defense oriented. The nagging question then becomes, is it all right to join others involved in a grossly selfish program to develop weapons of mass destruction, a program that is all out of proportion to a society's defense needs?

As for the role of the individual, we know it is important with whom or with what group one associates. And if the ultimate agenda of the group exceeds society's needs and is disharmonious with the higher purposes of humanity, will the individual involved with such a group be protected if he merely goes to church on Sunday and helps coach Little League on Wednesday? It's not that we have the answers here. They are for the mind of God. Rather, we are raising questions that move our thinking into new and unusual avenues that may, hopefully, be of value later on, in the new Age unfolding before us.

Finally, here is something of an alternative to invoking Earth changes to solve the problem of America's nuclear wastes and bombs. [But this does not mean that Earth changes will necessarily be avoided either. See the reading after this one!] The words below are from Cayce reading 3976-8, given to Cayce's Norfolk Study Group 1, exactly 74 years ago on January 15, 1932. They speak just as much to us today as they did to people back then.

In the beginning when chaos existed in the creating of the earth, the Spirit of God moved over the face of same and out of chaos came the world - with its beauty in natural form, or in nature.

With man's advent into the world, then personalities, individualities, began to find expressions in SUBDUING the earth, and man - with his natural bent - not only attempted to subdue the EARTH, but to subdue one another; and the result was the differences of opinions, the various sects, sets, classes and races.

As the earth was peopled, and the abilities of expansion were able to bring the various groups, or associations of groups or nations, they COULD - and DID - withdraw into themselves, and build for themselves in the various portions of the world that known as the periods of advancement of some particular group of peoples.

As the world has advanced, all the various phases of man's developments have entered to make a different phase, either in the political, economic, or religious aspect of man's experience. In the various portions, then, of the world there has been builded those necessary developments for that particular group or portion of those peoples, or those developments of those peoples in their particular line.

With the advent of the closeness of the worlds coming into being, so that the man upon the other side of the world is as much the neighbor as the man next door, more and more have been the turmoils that have arisen in the attempt of individual leaders or groups to induce, force or compel, one portion of the world to think as the other, or the other group to dwell together as brethren with one bond of sympathy, or one standard for all.

With the present conditions, then, that exist - these have all come to that place in the development of the human family where there must be a reckoning, a one point upon which all may agree, that out of all of this turmoil that has arisen from the social life, racial differences, the outlook upon the relationship of man to the Creative Forces or his God, and his relationships one with another, must come to some COMMON basis upon which all MAY agree. You say at once, such a thing is impractical, impossible! What has caused the present conditions, not alone at home but abroad? It is that realization that was asked some thousands of years ago, "Where IS thy brother? His blood CRIES to me from the ground!" and the other portion of the world has answered, IS answering, "Am I my brother's keeper?" The world, AS a world - that makes for the disruption, for the discontent - has lost its ideal. Man may not have the same IDEA. Man - ALL men - may have the same IDEAL!

As the Spirit of God once moved to bring peace and harmony out of chaos, so must the Spirit move over the earth and magnify itself in the hearts, minds and souls of men to bring peace, harmony and understanding, that they may dwell together in a way that will bring that peace, that harmony, that can only come with all having the one Ideal; not the one idea, but "Thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with all thine heart, thy neighbor AS thyself!" This [is] the whole law, this [is] the whole answer to the world, to each and every soul. That is the answer to the world conditions as they exist today. [Emphasis added by Hutton].

How shall this be brought about? As [they] each in their own respective sphere put into action that they know to be the fulfilling of that as has been from the beginning, so does the little leaven leaven the whole lump.

Man's answer to everything has been POWER - Power of money, Power of position, Power of wealth, Power of this, that or the other. This has NEVER been GOD'S way, will never be God's way. Rather little by little, line upon line, here a little, there a little, each thinking rather of the other fellow, as that that has kept the world in the various ways of being intact - where there were ten, even, many a city, many a nation, has been kept from destruction. Though ye may look upon, or feel that that which was given to Abram - as he viewed the cities of the plain and pled for the saving of same - was an allegorical story, a beautiful tale to be told children - that it might bring fear into the hearts of those that would have their OWN way - may it not come into the hearts of those now, today, wilt THOU, thine self, make of thine OWN heart an understanding that thou must answer for thine own brother, for thine own neighbor! and who is thine neighbor? He that lives next door, or he that lives on the other side of the world? He, rather, that is in NEED of understanding! He who has faltered; he who has fallen even by the way. HE is thine neighbor, and thou must answer for him!

(3976-8; January 15, 1932)

Every phase of human experience and human relationship must be taken into consideration; just as indicated from that given, that we ARE our brother's keeper.

Then if those in position to give of their means, their wealth, their education, their position, DO NOT take these things into consideration, there must be that leveling that will come.

(3976-19; June 24, 1938)
